Administration flip-flop on "enemy combatant"

People for the American Way outline another Bush Administration flip-flop, this one on the enemy combatant status of a U.S. citizen:
Less than four months after asserting before the U.S. Supreme Court that releasing U.S. citizen Yaser Esam Hamdi would be such a threat to U.S. security that it justified his indefinite detention in a U.S. Navy brig without access to a lawyer or the courts, the Bush Administration has suddenly reversed course and has begun negotiating the terms of his release.
