Bush flip-flops as he dredges for votes in Oregon

George Bush was doing more flip-flopping in Oregon than the salmon swimming upstream in the coldwater Columbia River. Bush gushed about his support for a dredging project in Portland. The only problem: in February he eliminated the funding for that very project. More of these kind of flip-flops and his presidential career will end like the salmon. On the rocks. Read this article about his Oregon flip-flop. From the article:
Big Statement
"I'm not the kind of guy that likes to stand up and say this is going to happen and it doesn't happen," Bush told a crowd of about 300 business leaders, government officials and Republican supporters.

Big Lie

But Democrats were quick to point out the president rejected an initial funding request for $15 million to kick off the dredging project when he submitted his budget proposal to Congress in February.
