Colin Powell declares Ukrainian elections illegitimate

Lame duck Secretary of State Colin Powell rejected the elections in the Ukraine. He said, "We cannot accept this result as legitimate, because it does not meet international standards and because there has not been an investigation of the numerous and credible reports of fraud and abuse."

As dragonballyee pointed out, the election did not meet international standards in the same way the November elections in the US didn't meet them. Vote margin: 3%. Exit polls predicted a different outcome. Voter irregularities. Note to Colin: Physician, heal thyself.
