Iraq sets election day; free and open elections is another thing

George Bush keeps touting free and open elections for Iraq. Now the date is set for Iraq's election: January 30, 2005. Small problem, though - it's not a free and open election. The Sunnis have called for a boycott and over 30 groups have said the election is not a free election. King Hussein of Jordan says free elections will be impossible.

Hmmm, I wonder who knows more about Middle East politics: George Bush or King Hussein? Chicken George as in the Middle East once for the rubber turkey fly-in. That qualifies him as an expert.
