George Bush recommends quilting bees for amputees
WASHINGTON (iF) - President George W Bush unveiled his Quilting Bees for Amputees program today in Washington D.C. at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital.
"This country is a patchwork quilt of Christians, and um, Christians, and lots of other guys," said the President. "That's why we created Quilting Bees for Amputees. We're stitching together a coalition of the willing. As my father says, 'It's a good thing.' Heh."
Quilting Bees for Amputees is an innovative program designed to employ the thousands of amputees created by the Iraq war. "Just because they dropped an arm doesn't mean they have to drop a stitch," said Mr. Bush.
