In the Bush White House, either you're with us or you're against us still applies

From ABC News comes this story of a government official who criticized the Office of Homeland Security and found himself out of a job:
The man who has issued many critical reports about the mismanagement and security flaws at the Department of Homeland Security was told Wednesday night that he was out of a job.

Clark Ervin made himself very unpopular by issuing a series of stinging reports on security programs that he said had failed, officials he called inept, and fraud that he suspected. His year-end report, out today, alleges that millions of dollars have been wasted or are unaccounted for by the department.
Just because they make the person go away doesn't make the problem go away. This is the Ostrich Doctrine of Homeland Security come to roost. Yikes. The next thing you know, the Secretary of Homeland Security will tell terrorists that he's surprised they haven't hit America's food supply because it's so vulnerable. Oh, heck, that already happened.
