Biker Boy George Bush

Attytood had a piece a couple of days ago titled Bush: It's All About the Bike, in which Will takes our president to task for being out on a bike ride in the middle of the afternoon while the nation's capital was under a Code Red threat. It's a great read. But that story just kept bugging me.

As it turns out, not only was George out riding his bike, but he wasn't even told of the airplane "threat" until long after it was over. Is this guy in charge of the country? He's riding his bike in the middle of the day? He's reading My Pet Goat while the World Trade Center burns? He's clearing brush in Crawford when tens of thousands of people are starving and being murdered in Darfur? It's hard work being president - but not for George Bush.
