Major Damn Outage Because of MySpace

iFlipFlop got knocked down overnight because of a goddam MySpace link that saw over 92,000 uniques hit the server in a few hours. Idiots hotlinked a picture of some coffins from the 1000 Coffin project that I posted in October 2004.

I had to institute .hta access bans to the MySpace referrer. I had to put in a new robots.txt file to restrict any access to JPG files. Ugh. MySpace can bite my ass. Just what I need, a bunch of 16-year-old girls hotlinking my site by the thousands. In their words, omigawd.
